Nancy Thompson spent her formative years in beautiful San Francisco, California. Her first endeavors in photography were at the age of six, when she infrequently borrowed her father's Kodak Instamatic from a hard-to-reach living room book-shelf and took pictures of her favorite country-western toys Johnny West, Jane West, Josie West (with whom she identified) and the rest of the Johnny West Series toys.
Several family albums of western toy themes and a few years later, Nancy moved on to explore her photography interests in a wider capacity by photographing people and events throughout her high-school and college years. Her passion for Country Western themes proportionally grew as well. She started riding county fair ponies and dreamed of visiting a real ranch some day, with real cowboys and cowgirls saying “howdy”.
After honing her photography skills at various art and photography colleges,
Nancy decided to pursue photography professionally. Today, with over ten years
of experience, Nancy's established list of clients rely on her ability to
capture exactly the images they need and beyond, as well as on her being truly
a pleasure to work with. Nancy looks forward to each new assignment with the
same enthusiasm and passion as she did with her first.
In addition to her commercial clients, other Nancy Thompson Photography patrons include:
Baby Talent Network; Cindy Osbrink Talent Agency; Kare-N-Management; Kazarian, Spencer and Associates; L.A. Model and Talent; Bobby Ball Agency; Acme Talent Agency; Coast-to-Coast Talent; and various school and charity organizations.
Nancy also got to visit a real ranch. Several times a year she roams the prairies and wide-open spaces of beautiful Wyoming, dexterously poised on a spirited pinto with dark hair and white pegs. CLICK HERE to view Nancy's Cowboy Life gallery.
